Jack is Back
Wow, two days in a row that I'm actually typing! I'm a sporadic type of guy. This week has kept me ultra-busy. For starters, the bulk of my stuff arrived on Monday, after spending a good two months on the high seas. The zoo that now rides the train in my room refuses to divulge any details of their "amazing" adventure on the freighter across the Pacific. They tell me that they were sworn to secrecy. Quite frankly, I think the alligator, sand crane, elephants, flamingo, and dog are lying like Russian spies.
You know what I think? I think they were just downright miserable on that slippery, stinky, ginormous freighter. They were probably scared out of their wits because I'm convinced that they probably had no access to light or fresh air, let alone cool water and some hunting/grazing pastures. I know for a fact that they didn't see the light of day because they keep walking blindly into my toys. Well, I was going to offer them plenty of empathy, but since they are turning this into a "secret/we're better than you/be eaten by jealousy" type of thing, I'll just try not to laugh the next time the sand crane hits his beak too hard as he hits the dirt.
Oh, and you'll be pleased to know that Locke gets along fairly well with everyone who just arrived off the boat. I think he has a thing for the flamingo-- and not a good thing. He's annoyed by the flamingo's flamboyance. I must admit that I'm annoyed by it sometimes. So, if I turn around one day and see pink feathers all over the carpet, I probably won't be too jerked to tears.
While unpacking my stuff, I found my safari/beach hat. I was pretty excited about that. After all, summer's a' comin'! And, it still fits. Mom says I have a small head, and ok, according to medical professionals, it's a little smaller than average. But, do not be fooled. My brains are simply compressed into super-compressed zip files.
