Beach Bum

It's been a while since I've written, but it's for good reason.  I've become a beach bum.

Let me backtrack -- fill you in on my latest and greatest!

So....the Seoul Aiport... We arrived, and I was amazed how clean and upscale this place was.  The floors were so clean that Mom let me crawl around as we waited for the flight.  I would have been comfortable eating my snacks off the tile, but I'm not sure Mom would have gone to that extent.  Going through airport security wasn't quite the pain in the rump that it is in the US.  Would you believe that some countries' security agents haven't actually had lobotomies?  Korea actually permits its security guards some autonomy  -- aka exercising common sense -- ahhhh, what a concept?  Sure, they searched our bags, but when Mom took off her shoes, they brought her some rubber slippers. They helped Dad with the carseat.  They didn't give Mom a hassle with my formula and water.  And, I must add that in contrast to the donut-consuming, authority-craving, girlfriend-lacking, high-school-reject, coke-bottle glasses TSA agents, these Korean security guards were....well....worth flirting with, if you know what I mean.  I couldn't resist.  But, it was mutual.  I'm obviously still a knock-out.

Of course, the Korean Air stewardesses dished out first class attention to me.  I ate it up.  The ten hour flight went smoothly.  For the first five hours, I played with toys, walked with Mom around the cabin, drank juice, ate tons of snacks, crawled around the cabin, watched the stewardesses serve food.....just kept busy.  I fell asleep for the remaining four hours.  The last several hours, including the drive to California were a blur.  Interestingly, we left Korea at 3:00 in the afternoon on a Sunday and arrived the same day in California at 10:00 am.  Boy, talk about the longest day of my life.

It didn't take long for Grandma and Grandpa to start spoiling me.  I actually got to lick the spoon covered in cookie dough.  Wow, it was delicious.  When I saw "my room," I saw that Grandma and Grandpa had gotten a zillion toys for me.  There was a dumptruck, a play tractor, lots of books, a cell phone, lots of balls...

I slept quite a bit those first few nights.  In fact, one night, I slept from 8:45 pm until 10:00 am the next day.  Now, I am back to normal.  Whew!

Lately, I've been hanging out at Grandma and Grandpa's condo on the coast.  Talk about
"S-W-A-N-K-Y!"  Let me describe my last two afternoons:

After a two hour nap, I get into my new swim-trunks.  (Grandma got me some nice new blue ones with fish on them.  They're super studly.) I grab my new boonie hat.  Then, I hit the pool.  It's located at a club/spa down the road.  It's like a resort pool.  Man, it's nice.  I have a brand new floatie thing I like to call my "Juice Barge."  I just relax, float around in the crystal, blue water.  I close my eyes, listen the water cascading in sheets from the rock.  When I need a fresh apple juice, I just let Mom know.  She gets my sippy cup, and I just sit back, and enjoy.  It's the life.

By the way, Locke and Mountbatten have become beach bums too.  We got a telegram from Albert, Pete, the Sandhill Crane, and the Flamboyant Flamingo.  Apparently, they wanted the recipe for Orange Juliuses.
