Beach Bummin' and Wedding Crashin'

Folks, I apologize for the lack of news from the Republic of CA.  If you have ever been to CA, you'd understand why I haven't written.  And, if you are a kid with grandparents in CA, you'd have an even better understanding of why I haven't had a chance to get to the computer.  I've been really busy enjoying the "spoils of grandparentage."

Where do I start?

About two weeks ago, Mom, Dad and I went to Avila Beach.  It was my first time to a beach.  I played in the sand, gawked at the goofy sea gulls, chowed down on pizza, dropped my jaw at the obese Americans in swimsuits, drove my trucks in the sand, marveled at the waves, and found a perfect sand dollar.  To top it all off, we went to an ice cream parlor.  Boy, it was a good day.

About a week later, on June 12th, my Uncle Rett married Aunt Angela.  Talk about memorable.  Mom wants me to write about one of the bridesmaids, Carly.  She danced with me.  We'll leave it at that.  (Mom contends that I have something called a "crush" on her.  Whatever, I was briefly smitten.  Done.  Besides, come to find out that she's engaged.  Go figure.  I was actually going to give her my Uncle W's number.)   I ate some delicious wedding cake.  Man, it was good.  About halfway through the festivities, I had an embarrassing moment and had to go back to the hotel for a bath.  But, Mom let me come back in my pajamas.

I had quite a bit more to write about these experiences, but I just can't keep with the pace of my vacation.  It's been intense.
