Winter Survival Kit

Yeah, yeah, so I hear about the insane winter storm that's been plaguing the entire US of A, and believe me, I'm impressed with the stories I'm hearing.  Sheesh.  But, let's put that aside for a second and ponder the winter that I've been surviving.  Just imagine a mother born and raised in Texas where snow and freezing temperatures are uncommon and where everyone has a backyard and where you pretty much can go outside any day of the year.  Now, just imagine that mother being stuck in an apartment building in a polluted country with non-stop freezing/below freezing temperatures for a good two to three months out of the winter.  You got that right, folks.  I'm talking temperatures that do not get above twenty degrees for eight weeks straight.  And, twenty is the high.  Yeah, you can imagine why I'm about to go insane.  Well, one of my mom's best friends must use telepathy or something because out of the blue, a box showed up in the mail. 

What was in it?  Best stuff ever!  I don't know how she knew what I like, but man, it was like she got Santa's list or something.  Toy Story bubble bath, two pairs of super-warm indoor boots (one of them camo-print), bath crayons, gourmet pancake mix, hot chocolate.....and more stuff for Mom and Dad.  I love my boots, and I get to wear them inside, which is a big plus.  The bubble bath smells like fruit punch.  Yum.

I wasn't a big fan of the carrot Mom just shoved in my mouth.

Highlights

The other evening, I was just minding my own business, driving my Ferraris, Corvettes, and Toyota Land Cruiser along the scenic highway (the couch, but don't burst my bubble).  That's when I heard Locke and all of the other furball doofuses in the hallway whispering.  Locke, "Shhhhhh!  Wait for it, w-a-i-t   f-o-r  i-t........." Then, they could hear a key inserted in the front door lock.  Within seconds, the door opened and in walked dad. Albert loudly whispered, "NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Once I heard the door open, I completely disregarded the crazies in the hallway and ran to see dad.  My latest trick is stealing the hat out of his flight suit pocket.  He keeps it in the pocket on his lower leg, and man, it's easy pickins'.  I love that hat!  When I have that hat on, I command so much more respect.
