Highlights

The other evening, I was just minding my own business, driving my Ferraris, Corvettes, and Toyota Land Cruiser along the scenic highway (the couch, but don't burst my bubble).  That's when I heard Locke and all of the other furball doofuses in the hallway whispering.  Locke, "Shhhhhh!  Wait for it, w-a-i-t   f-o-r  i-t........." Then, they could hear a key inserted in the front door lock.  Within seconds, the door opened and in walked dad. Albert loudly whispered, "NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Once I heard the door open, I completely disregarded the crazies in the hallway and ran to see dad.  My latest trick is stealing the hat out of his flight suit pocket.  He keeps it in the pocket on his lower leg, and man, it's easy pickins'.  I love that hat!  When I have that hat on, I command so much more respect. As I was grabbing Dad's hat, I heard Ludendorff whisper, "Ja, you are correct.  Zee kiddo lights up zlike ...

Creeps

The latest:  Mom and I went on a roadtrip to the mountains recently.  We drove with some friends, and wow, it was certainly nice visiting some new places.  After driving about 2.5 hours, we arrived at a little coffee shop where Mom and Eric's mom drank coffee/tea.  Eric and I ate our lunches.  We were starvin' Marvins.  The shop grew the herbs for the teas in little gardens.  Eric and I decided to do some horticultural engineering, if you know what I mean.  Mom wouldn't let me pull off the flowers, but I did get to play in the dirt -- one of my latest and greatest pasttimes.  I love dirt.  AND, that's probably an understatement.  If I could just spend all day digging in dirt, I'm pretty sure life would be heaven.  Unfortunately, I can't.  Irritating, to say the least. You're probably wondering how Ludendorff is getting along with the rest of the gang.  Oh man, it turns out that he's quite a humorous hippo.  Eve...

Ludendorff

I visited the Seoul Zoo yesterday with Mom and Dad.  Last time I went, Locke, Mountbatten, and Albert put together a package for family members.  Since they never received a thank-you note, they didn't send one with me this time.  Apparently, they don't correspond with "ungrateful jerks."  Yep, wow. So, the highlight of my trip was adopting a stray hippopotamus named Ludendorff.  Probably the best way to introduce him is to include this transcript of the interview/interrogation/chat that Mountbatten, Albert, Horatio, Locke, the Sand Crane, and the Flamboyant Flamingo subjected him to.  They wanted to make sure he wasn't a North Korean informant  Sheesh, what a welcome! Location: Seoraksan Tower, South Korea Locke: "Good Evening, sir.  And, please state your name." Ludendorff (strong German accent):  "Guten Abend, sir.  My name is Ludendorff." Locke:  "Ludendorff, sir, dictatorship or democracy?" Ludendorff:  "Who is Ben...

Air Power Day

Image
The base hosted an air show this weekend, and since air power is my dad's kind of business, it was a real treat to have a real mcoyster air power dude escort me around.  No, he didn't wear his flight suit.  He's a little more humble than that.  He decided to go incognito.  Dang, I love that word.  Locke loves it too.  We've decided that "incognito" is pretty much the best word ever "thunked up."  I digress. So, yes, Dad, Mom and I watched the F-16 demo and the A-10 demo.  That was about it.  Korea's air shows was a diet-super-low-cal version of air show I saw at Nellis last year.  Now, mind you, I was more interested in where my next meal was going to come from last year, but I know diet air show when I see it.  Yep, it was a good day yesterday, especially when Mom basically told SF to go butt a stump.  They weren't going to allow her to bring drinks or foods into the air show.  Well, needless to say, ...

Scatology

If you have to look my title up, you're in for a grand surprise.  Let's just say that I'm officially enrolled in Scatology 1301, and it's not quite the pain in the rear I had anticipated.   In fact, I will proudly have you know that twice, now, I have properly used the laboratory equipment, errr.......toilet......errrr......POT!  It was kind of a big deal.  Yay me!  Now, actually, it was more sheer luck than anything else, but you know, I have to start somewhere.  One of my favorite parts of Scatology 1301 has been "Introduction to the Whirlpool Effect."  Obviously, it involves a whirlpool, momentum (P), a mass (m), velocity(v), acceleration due to gravity (g), and kinetic energy....  I supply the mass; it's one of the class requirements.  You know, it was under the supply section on the syllabus.   But, it's great.  I pull down on a lever, and man, it's exciting.   I'll let you know how I do....

4/9 Market

Image
It was a rainy/overcast day, but despite the weather, we went to the 4/9 Market.  It's not too far from base, and it is held every date that ends in a 4 or a 9.  Since it was October 4th, we decided to check it out.  Wow!  They sell everything there.  Fish and more fish, flowers, fried weird stuff, more fish, vegetables, kimchi, shoes, clothing, toys, fish, squid, spices, fruit, more fish....anything.  My friend Eric and his mom went with us.  It was nice to have the company.  Here are some photos:
